6May Newsletter 1
Hello Everyone,  & Welcome to the summer.

Lusty SLSC is hitting the beach again, starting this Sunday 8th May.

We've changed timings slightly this year, so here's a reminder of our schedule:

Nippers (Children born 1999 or later)
Main Session runs from 1530-1630.
Warm-up will be from 1515.
Children must be signed-in and kitted up with wetsuit, rash vest and hat ready for 1515 warm-up.
Please ensure you allow sufficient time for this - it is extremely disruptive to other children and helpers if children arrive late and expect to join in activities organised for numbers present at the correct time

At end of session, all children must sign out.

Juniors (Children born 1998 or earlier)
Main session from 1630-1730.
Warm up from 1615
Children must be signed-in and kitted up with wetsuit, rash vest and hat ready for 1615 warm-up.
Please ensure you allow sufficient time for this - it is extremely disruptive to other children and helpers if children arrive late and expect to join in activities organised for numbers present at the correct time

At end of session, all children must sign out.

Subs for beach sessions are £3 per child.

All helpers - please meet at beach at 1430 for briefing

____________________________________________________________________________________________________

Owing to work committments, we may have a reduced number of helpers this year.
We are keen for more parents to help out - this may involve general organisation of children at check-in, looking after any children who may not feel able to complete the session, acting as a spare pair of eyes for water work, or helping in the water.

We'll brief anyone who's interested on what we need, so don't feel bashful if you've not done it before, we all have to start somewhere. If you can help, let me or Ben know, or just grab one of the helpers on a Sunday for a chat.

____________________________________________________________________________________________________

This Sunday, as our first session, we are likely to do some reminder beach safety work and a small amount of water work depending on conditions.

Schedule for this Sunday is slightly different from above, in that  we have a photo shoot scheduled between 1630 and 1700. This is for ALL children, Nippers & Juniors, and will feature our new Lusty swim costumes sponsored by the RAF. Nippers should change out of wetsuits at end of session and into swimsuits. Juniors should change into swimsuits on arrival. Claire will be co-ordinating.
Junior session will run from 1700-1800.

At the end of the session, the Chairman invites you to join him and the rest of the team for a celebratory drink in the bar (although he's carefully omitted to say who's buying!)

For reference, the Club's Child Protection Officer is Susi Tooley, 01637 872523, 07931 970289.

Please remind any members you may see that we are starting on the beach this Sunday.
