Join!

In order to be able to offer access to all those living in our local community we now advertise via our existing membership and our club Facebook page when we have spaces available by specific ages within our club sections. 

We no longer operate an open waiting list.  We have a closed sibling priority waiting list only to enabling families to be involved in the club. 

Club Sections by Age

Dolphins (5yrs to 7yrs): Minimum requirements for dolphins to join are that they must be able to:

• Put their face in the water
• Blow bubbles in the water
• Hold a star float on their front and back for 5 seconds.
• Swim 5metres independently on their front and back

All dolphins must to accompanied by a designated parent helper at all times during the sessions. 

Nippers (7yr-13yr): Minimum requirements for Nippers are to be 7 years old and to be able to swim 100m crawl in the pool (4 lengths), which will be assessed prior to membership being granted.

Juniors (13yrs to 16yrs): Minimum requirements for juniors are to be in the 13yr competition age group (13 by 31st December) and to be able to swim 200m crawl in the pool (8 lengths) without stopping in a reasonable time. 

Seniors (16yrs and over): You must to able to swim 200m crawl in the pool (8 lengths) without stopping in a reasonable time. 

Parent/Adult Volunteer Helpers

Club fees

• Club joining fee £40 includes annual membership to Surf Life Saving GB
• Dolphins/Nippers/Juniors £16pm standing order thereafter (includes annual SLS GB membership)
• Seniors annual membership to Lusty SLSC and Surf Life Saving Association of GB £25pa
• Parent/Adult Volunteer Club Helpers membership to Lusty SLSC and Surf Life Saving Association of GB £25

Mandatory rash vests and hats are required for all open water activities - please contact Committee for latest arrangements

All fees and monies accumulated are invested back into the club for replenishment and renewal of equipment and training costs
